What is the greatest tragedy?

“Even prior to his Gospel presentation, Warren confuses the idea of living on purpose with the reality of conversion. ‘Nothing matters more than knowing God’s purposes for your life, and nothing can compensate for not knowing them…. The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without purpose’ (p30). But surely the greatest tragedy is neither death nor life without purpose, but both life and death without responding to the Gospel in repentance and belief.”
